ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY
HURREDO CAMBODIA
HURREDO is a local Cambodian non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty and helps rural communities to create a sustainable future. The organization was set up in 1999 by a group of Cambodian agriculture and rural development specialists who were passionate about creating a brighter future for the rural communities of Cambodia. On January 19th, 2000 HURREDO was officially recognized and registered with the Ministry of Interior and since then the NGO has been working hard with the Royal Government of Cambodia and other NGOs to improve the living standards of Cambodians.
VISION
HURREDO envisions a sustainable, brighter future for the rural communities of Cambodia, where villagers are empowered to take charge of their own development.
MISSION
HURREDO’s mission is to alleviate poverty by improving the quality of life for Cambodian women, children, and families. They achieve this by: Cooperation Committee for Cambodia
- Coordinating development activities: Implementing projects in rural areas focused on agriculture, health, and natural resource management.
- Supporting self-management: Strengthening village-level committees to manage their own social, cultural, and environmental development.
- Capacity building: Enhancing technical skills and confidence among villagers to take responsibility for their own development.
- Collaboration: Working with the Royal Government of Cambodia and other NGOs to improve rural living standards.
